⁵² Everyone was crying^(A) and mourning for her.^(B) But He said, “Stop crying, for she is not dead but asleep.”^(C)

⁵³ They started laughing at Him, because they knew she was dead. ⁵⁴ So He^[a] took her by the hand^(D) and called out, “Child, get up!”^(E)
